The Ovingham Overpass is an exciting project for residents in the Ovingham / Churchill Road/ Devonport Tce area of both West Ward, City of Prospect and with our neighbours in Charles Sturt Council. Ovingham Railway Station has been upgraded, with extensive landscaping in the vicinity of the overpass and includes a community plaza, playground equipment and Aboriginal artwork installations, including murals on the pillars and abutment.

Prospect Toy Library is 40 years old! It was my privilege, as one of the parents involved with setting up the original Prospect Toy Library and as a councillor, to attend the birthday party on 1 June 2023 along with some other 'original' parents (Helen Slater, Bronte Cerny and Sheila Quirk). Thank you to all past and present people who have supported this dream 40 years ago! As well as books, the Prospect Library also loans out toys, games, and puzzles of an educational nature to children under the age of 12. These items provide fun learning experiences whilst promoting child development in language, numeracy, social interaction, muscle development, imagination and creativity.
